What is hypnotherapy?
Hypnotherapy is a therapeutic technique that uses guided relaxation, intense concentration, and focused attention to achieve a heightened state of awareness known as a trance. In this state, the unconscious mind is more open to suggestion, making it easier to address issues like addictions, phobias, stress, or emotional blocks. Hypnotherapy can help individuals make lasting changes by reprogramming thought patterns at a deep level.
How does hypnotherapy work?
During a hypnotherapy session, the therapist will guide you into a relaxed state where your mind becomes highly focused. While in this state, we’ll explore the root causes of your challenges and work with your unconscious mind to introduce new, positive suggestions. This process can help you change behaviors, improve emotional well-being, and break free from limiting beliefs.
Is hypnotherapy safe?
Yes, hypnotherapy is completely safe. You remain in control during the entire session and can emerge from the hypnotic state at any time. Hypnotherapy is a natural and non-invasive way to help you manage or overcome various issues. Our sessions are conducted in a professional, supportive environment to ensure your comfort and safety.
Can I pay with health insurance?
We accept FSA and HSA accounts. I may be able to accept certain medical insurances in the future, but as of right now, I do not. It may be possible to be reimbursed by your insurance company for my services. If interested, you may contact your insurance provider and ask about reimbursement for my services.
What are your qualifications?
I am certified by the Palo Alto School of Hypnotherapy and am registered with the American Council of Hypnotist Examiners. I also completed two courses on neuro-linguistic programming with the Academy of Modern Applied Psychology.
Are you licensed?
Hypnotherapy is not a licensed profession in the State of California. The only states which require licensing are Colorado, Connecticut and Washington State. I am, however, certified and registered with the ACHE.

Can I be hypnotized to do things against my will?
No. You can’t even enter trance if you don’t want to. This is therapy, and just like any other form of therapy, it won’t work if you decide you don’t want it to. It isn’t my place to even try and force or trick anyone into a state of trance
Is there a chance I can never wake up after entering trance?
No. Hypnosis would be deemed categorically unsafe for any therapeutic use if there were even a small chance of such an event occurring.
